The Presbyterian Women of Abbeville Presbyterian Church are very active in the life of this church, our community, Trinity Presbytery, and in Missions.

The 2006-2007 Bible Study is from Horizons: In the Beginning: Perspectives on Genesis by Celia Brewer Sinclair.

There are four Circles that meet in different homes or at the church on the first Monday or first Tuesday of each month. Any Presbyterian woman may choose a Circle and is invited and encouraged to attend.


Presbyterian Women Coordinating Team meets 3rd Monday of the month at 7:00 pm.

THANK OFFERING: This offering continues the 100-year tradition of supporting mission throughout the world by the former UPW. Thirty-three percent of the Thank Offering is set aside for hospitals and health-related programs overseas and in the USA. Monies are collected in the autumn.

FELLOWSHIP OF THE LEAST COIN: Each woman prayerfully contributes each month her "least coin" to be used for God's work among all Christian women in the world. This is the ecumenical emphasis of Church Women United.

BIRTHDAY OFFERING: Begun in 1922 on the anniversary of the beginning of Women of the Church. Predetermined large projects (no more than 3) are selected by the Creative Ministries Offering Committee. Projects include mission programs overseas and in the USA. Monies are collected in the spring.

HONORARY LIFE MEMBERS: An Honorary Life Membership in Presbyterian Women (USA) is conferred upon an individual in recognition of faithful service in some area of the church's work. Funds derived from Honorary Life Memberships are used for Presbyterian Women leadership training costs, support of leadership development events for women, and assistance for training of leaders for mission interpretation and support.
